The Uttar Pradesh government has intensified security while preparing for the ‘Amrit Snan’ In ‘Mauni Amavasya’ on Wednesday (January 29, 2025), which is expected to attract around 10 million pilgrims to Maha Kumbh in just one day.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 has already witnessed more than 15 million pilgrims who took a sacred hall in the last 17 days, the state government said on Tuesday (January 28, 2025).

The security measures have reached unprecedented levels during the day with the deployment of personnel in each corner and turn along with the installation of CCTV cameras with AI and drones monitored in the mela area, extended on several hectares throughout the triveni Sangam, the confluence of the bargain, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati.
Although the Mela area has already declared an area without vehicles during the next few days, the administration of Prayagraj has also made a fervent appeal to local residents to avoid using four wheels and opt for two wheels only if they take the elderly to Sangam.
“Residents are requested to use two -wheeled vehicles or walk to facilitate the movement of pilgrims around the world,” said District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar send.

The state government said it has also planned a shower of helicopter flower petals on Wednesday at 6.45 am to mark the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya.
He Amrit Snan (previously called Shahi Snan) It is the greatest and most sacred ritual of the Maha Kumbh Mela, which attracts millions of pilgrims around the world on the banks of the Triveni Sangam.
The main attraction of Amrit Snan is the magnificent procession of saints and ascetics of the various Akharas.
The dates for Amrit Snan are determined based on the astrological combinations of the Sun, the Moon and Jupiter, which is believed to improve the spiritual power of the sacred rivers.
Mauni Amavasya falls on the Hindu calendar day of Magh Krishna Amavasya. This is considered the most auspicious date between all special bath dates. It is believed that on this day, the water of the holy rivers becomes ‘Amrit’. Mauni Amavasya is also known as the ‘Amavasya de los Santos’. The bathroom in Mauni Amavasya is traditionally done in silence.

Meanwhile, the administration of Prayagraj has intensified measures to guarantee operations without problems, deploying the police at strategic points to maintain order in the fields of Kumbh.
To accommodate the massive crowds, schools for classes 1 to 8 in all meetings in Prayagraj will remain closed on January 28 and 30. The Superior Court of Allahabad has also declared a vacation on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.
Maha Kumbh, arrested after 12 years, began on January 13 and will continue until February 26. The Government of Uttar Pradesh, which is organizing the mega event, awaits a footprint between 40 and 45 million rupees during the period.
