Manipur Prime Minister N. Biren Singh, on Thursday (February 6, 2025) said that together with his cabinet colleagues, there would be a sacred hall in the Triveni Sangam in Uttar Pradesh during the current maha kumbh and prayed for the peace and prosperity for the people of the state of the northeast.
He also urged everyone to join him in the prayers and sought “divine grace for a brighter and united future” for Manipur residents.
“Blessed to be in Prayagraj for the auspicious Maha Kumbh Mela, a divine meeting that comes once in 144 years.

“Tomorrow, in the Holy Triveni Sangam, along with my dear colleagues from the Cabinet and Mlas Occasion brings blessings to all, “the cm published in X early on Thursday (February 6, 2025).
More than 250 people have been killed and thousands of homeless since ethnic violence in Manipur broke out in May 2023.

Mr. Singh left the state on Wednesday (February 5, 2025) in the afternoon. Later at night, three upper ministers and four MLA of BJP went to Delhi for a rented flight.
During a visit to Manipur in January, Uttar Minister Pradesh, Dineh Khatik, had invited Mr. Singh Al Maha Kumbh Mela, an official statement said.
Mr. Khatik met Mr. Singh in the official CM residence here and handed him an invitation for the festival.
