The Madras High Court on Thursday (March 13, 2025) granted bail to Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) leader S. Seeman’s security guard M. Amalraj, 50, and driver B. Subakar, 34, in a case registered against them for allegedly preventing an Inspector of Police from entering the politician’s bungalow at Neelankarai near Chennai on February 27, 2025, and reportedly attempting to fire at him with a pistol.

Justice Sunder Mohan granted the relief on the condition that the two accused must appear before the Flower Bazaar police station in Chennai every day until further orders. The judge was convinced that no further incarceration of the petitioners would be required in the case, since the bail petitioners had been in prison for a couple of weeks pursuant to their arrest on February 27.
