When one is nostalgia, eating the favorite dishes from home can help relieve that feeling. Recently, a Vlogger couple published a video that showed what the husband did when his wife felt nostalgagged. Since then, the reel has gone viral and won many hearts online. The husband (ben), who is a foreigner, is seen preparing doses from scratch for his Indian wife (Sheeba). When we say “from scratch”, we mean that he also prepared the dosa dough. In the clip, we see it grind the ingredients separately and then combine them. In the comments, he revealed that he used 4 cups of rice, 1 cup of Urad Dal and 1 tablespoon of phenogreco seeds for this recipe. He washed and soaked them during the night. After grinding them, he suggests mixing “vigorously for at least 60 seconds to combine.” In the comments, he also states that he is using a wet grinder that his in -laws sent from India.
Ben is seen giving his wife a sample of the dough to verify if it is fine. While he is in the kitchen, we also see his wife enter and feed him some rice, which seems to like. The next step in mass preparation is fermentation. To do this, we see it keep it in a cover covered inside an oven with the light on. He revealed that he left him there for 12-24 hours to ferment. Later, add water to the dough to obtain liquid consistency. Once ready, extend it in a hot tawa and handle it with what it seems to be Ghee. Once the clear doses are ready, accumulate them on a dish with Chutney and serve his wife. Watch the full viral video below:
