Two leopards have been seen in the urban range of Bengaluru of the subdivision of northern Bengaluru in recent days. Forestry officials confirmed the presence of the two animals in the limits of Shivakotte Gram Panchayat and the surrounding villages.
Alert sounded
Range Forest Offer, Bengaluru Urban Range, Shivappa Hossamani said that the movement of great cats has received notice from the forest department that in turn informed the residents that they were alert.
“We have carried out a public awareness camp and advise residents to be cautious. We also brought experts who have explained what measures should be taken if humans find leopards, ”said Hossamani.
He also said that officials have been doing night patrols during the last days and have also established cages to capture the two leopards. “However, the leopards have been elusive so far,” he said.

A video has also been making rounds in WhatsApp groups of well -being associations resident of two leopards who roam roamagondanahalli.
The images of the CCTV camera of a house have captured the two leopards wandering the parking area on January 23.
The authorities added that a couple of days ago, the residents alerted the movement of a leopard in the electronic city. However, it was discovered that the animal was a wild cat.
