Lam Research Big Big in Karnataka with an investment of ₹ 10,000 million rupees

Lam Research, an American company that develops essential tools for the manufacture of semiconductors, has announced on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) an investment of more than ₹ 10,000 million rupees in Karnataka in the coming years.

This announcement was made by Mr. Sesha Varadarajan, senior vice president of Global Products Group, Lam Research in Global Investor’s Meet: Invest Karnataka 2025 at the Bangalore Palace.

In this regard, Lam Research has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Karnataka government to allocate a land package owned by Kiadb for planned investment.

Prime Minister Siddaramaiah has emphasized that this investment placed Karnataka in the heart of the global semiconductor ecosystem.

The tools produced by LAM Research are used in wafering processing and the wiring of semiconductor devices, according to the company.
