The injury suffered by Senior Virat Kohli before Thursday’s first hat . The captain of India, Rohit Sharma, reported at the launch that Kohli had injured his right knee during the practice on Wednesday night and, therefore, was removed from the first odi. Although both the management of the Indian team and Kohli himself would feel disappointed to lose the opportunity to play the game, the injury seems less.
BCCI said in an official update that Kohli was not available for the selection in the first ODI in Nagpur due to a right knee pain.
Kohi was in the field with his teammates shortly after arriving at the stadium, but seemed uncomfortable while heating with a right knee. In a viral video, Kohli was seen talking to the physio of the Indian team while stroking his knee.
There were some reports not confirmed early in the morning that Hardik Pandya SUV was taken to the hospital on Wednesday night after complaining about stomach pain. However, the Indian team management did not confirm anything. In the end, Pandya was included in the team, and it was Kohli who had to sit.
With Kohli not available for the selection, the team management decided to deliver to Yashavi Jaiswal a single hatghe together with the ran range range, while Mohammed Shami returned to the Odi team after the 2023 World Cup.
Previously, there were expectations that the Spinner Varun Chakravarthy could be able to make his debut in Odi after he was recruited in the afternoon team after his excellent bowling in the T20i series, in which he was named a series of the series with 14 WICKETS, including A FIFER, in the third game in Rajkot.
In his press conference prior to the game, Captain Rohit had hinted that Chakravarthy would play one of the matches since the team’s management was really impressed with his bowling alley in the T20IS, taking to the spinner of legs to the fray for the next Champions Trophy .
But in the end, that was not, and Chakravarthy will have to wait for his debut in Odi, since India decided to deliver the first limit to rumar.
