The World Championship medalist Kidambi Srikanth advanced to the second round of the Male Single event in the Badminton Masters Tournament in Thailand in progress on Wednesday. Srikanth, the world number 47 defeated Daniil Dubovenko in Israel, 74º in the Bádminton ranking by 21-13, 21-18 in two successive games in Pathumwan on Wednesday, according to the Olympicos.com. In other competitions, Sankar Subramanian (male singles), Ruban Kumariharan Amsakarunan (male doubles) and Rohan Kapoor-Ruthvika Shivani (Mixed Doubles) and Rakshitha Ramraj also reached the second round.

Sankar defeated Cheam Jun Wei from Malasia 15-21, 21-15, 21-19 in his initial match and his next game will be against the Dwi Wardayo boy in Indonesia.

On the other hand, Ruban and Hariharan defeated Pannawat Jamtubtim-Ratchapol Makkashorn 21-18 from Thailand 21-18, while Rohan Kapoor-Ruthvika Shivani beat Weraphat Phakjarung-Ssararath Chueboca 21-8, 21-16 of Thailand.

Rakshitha managed to overcome the Wu Luo Yu in China in a well-full match 21-19, 21-16 to ensure its 16-point round.

Among the players who were eliminated from the competition were: Tharun Mannepalli, SáSH Kumar, Ayush Shetty and Mithun Manjunath in male singles, Tanya Hemanth, Shriyanshi Valishetty and Tara Shah in the Singles competition and Duplicos Indian men of Abinast Motanty– Ayush Pattanayak.
