Tucker Carlson, a right -wing commentator and a prominent conservative American expert, made an explosive accusation against the administration of former president of the United States, Joe Biden, claiming that they tried to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Carlson, whose statement lacks concrete evidence, has fueled a generalized row with his comments. In particular, he was expelled from Fox News in 2023 when the network dealt with legal challenges about its transmission of false claims with respect to electoral fraud in the presidential elections of the United States of 2020.
“The Biden administration did, they tried to kill Putin,” said former Fox News announcer in Monday’s episode of his podcast ‘The Tucker Carlson Show’.
After his guest, the American writer and journalist Matt Taibbi, intervened: “Really?”, Carlson doubled his statement, saying “Yes, yes, they did, which is crazy.”

Kremlin reacts to sensational claim
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reacted to the sensational claim, saying that Russian special services are taking all necessary measures to guarantee Putin’s security.
“Russian special services are constantly taking all necessary measures to guarantee public safety and, of course, the security of those under state protection. This refers first of all to the head of the State, “said Peskov.
Carlson summoned the former Secretary of State of the United States, Tony Blinken, as an example of someone who was pressing for a real war and trying to kill Putin. However, the Biden administration has not yet responded to these accusations.
Carlson’s repeated echo of the Kremlin conversation points and criticism of US military aid to Ukraine has expressed concerns, with his recent comments, even more intensifying the controversy.
He even declared: “You can’t say enough, Ukraine is not a democracy … In American terms, you would call Ukraine a tyranny.” His interview with Putin in Moscow, followed by a conversation with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, faced generalized criticism.
