Israel had been preventing the large number of Palestinians from using a coastal path to return to northern Gaza, accusing Hamas of violating the truce agreement by not releasing civil hostages.
The Palestinians can begin to return to the north of the Gaza Strip devastated by the war on Monday, since Hamas has been reached for the launch of six other hostages as part of the truce, said the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Israel-Ahamas War has displaced almost all residents of the Gaza Strip and the last progress paid the way for the exchange of more hostages and prisoners as part of the agreement with the aim of ending more than 15 months of conflict.
Israel has been accusing Hamas of violating the truce agreement by not releasing the civil hostages of their captivity and, therefore, had avoided that a large multitude of Palestinians use a coastal path to return to the north of Gaza.
“Hamas has backed up and will carry out an additional phase of reheating hostages this Thursday,” said the PMO of Israel in a statement, adding that three hostages would be released that day and three others on Saturday.
Palestinian leaders hit Trump in the Gaza Plan
Palestinian leaders criticized a plan floated by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to “clean” Gaza. Trump described Gaza’s current situation as a “demolition site” and added that he had spoken with King Abdullah II of Jordan about resetting the Palestinians.
“I would like Egypt to take people. And I would like Jordan to take people, “Trump told reporters.
The Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas, based in the West in the West, said he has a strong rejection and condemnation of any project aimed at displacing the Palestinians of Gaza, according to his office.
Bassem Naim, a member of Hamas’ political office, said AFP that the Palestinians would frustrate such projects, as they have done in the past “for displacement and alternative homelands.”
