The Indian Institute of Madras Technology will organize the first Asian Hyperloop International Competition in February.
The competition will take place from February 21 to 25, gathering the key interested parties of Hyperloop of the United States, Europe and other parts of the world. The competition is carried out jointly by Iit M Matartak and Saeindia and backed by the Railroad Ministry. The objective is to show concepts of hyperloop and foster a transformative spirit between young minds in the field of transport.
The competition will be carried out in the unique state -of -the -art hyperloop test infrastructure of the Institute built with the support of the Indian Railways, Arceormittal, Land T and Hindalco.
Considered 5th Transport mode is a high -speed train that travels in a void tube. Reduced air resistance allows the tube to travel at speeds of more than 10,000 km/h. Satya Chakravarthy, Faculty Advisor, Hyperloop Iit Madras, said the Hyperloop global contest was a testimony of what students could achieve given the right opportunities and roads. “Our goal is to inspire and equip the next generation to redefine what is possible in transport,” he said.
The event will have 400 participants, competing in 3 categories: participants will show their prototypes of Pod Hyperloop, demonstrating advanced speed, stability and safety features on the avant -garde test track. A case study competition is in the Yunque, aimed at tracking Real0World challenges in the implementation of Hyperloop technologies; Design enthusiasts will have an opportunity to present innovative concepts and ideas, pushing the limits of Hyperloop technology and their applications.
The teams will exhibit their Hyperloop PAD prototypes, demonstrating advanced speed, stability and security characteristics. There will be a case study competition aimed at real world challenges. There will also be a platform for design enthusiasts to present innovative concepts and ideas.
