Faces smeared with gulaal, blue, green and other colours, people zipped past the roads of Hyderabad celebrating Holi on Friday (March 14, 2025). The celebrations began on Thursday night when people put together wood and set it on fire marking ‘Holika Dahan’. When the sun rose, people of all ages stepped out of their homes holding toy guns, packets filled with colours to spray them on each other. The festival was celebrated in open grounds, within gated communities and in alleys of the city. Children with visual impairment celebrated the festival at Devnar School for the Blind in Begumpet.
