The HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14, when it was launched, was one of the first laptops to obtain the new Intel Core Ultra 7 series. Something that many people are looking for a thin ultrabook. However, the omnibook ultra flip 14 also works as a tablet, since it presents a 360 degree hinge and a screen with touch support.
The convertible offer of HP is among a handful of 2 in 1 available in the market with the new intel core ultra series 2. However, it is not cheap, since the base variant begins in RS. 1,81,999. The unit we receive for review, which includes the intel core ultra 7 258v chipset is sold in RS. 1.89,999. Is it worth money 2-in-1? Read our review to find out.
HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14 Design
At first glance, there is nothing visibly special in the omnibook ultra flip 14. The laptop is thin, made of aluminum and has a matt finish that likes to cling to digital footprints and spots.
However, if you look closely, you will see that the rear edges are at angle and house the USB type C. ports, there are no USB type A ports on the laptop. There is a third C USB port on the right side and an audio port of 3.5 mm to the right.
It should be noted that you can only load the laptop using type C ports on the right side. Nor can it connect anything thick to angled USB-C ports, since the screen gets along the way.
The hinge, which is of the type of 360 degrees, seemed very durable throughout the review. It was also quite soft depending on.
The omnibook ultra flip 14 obtains a metal HP logo at the top, an omnibook nickname on the outside of the right hinge and a polystudio engraving on the left side. At the bottom, you will find a large admission mesh and some rubber feet. The laptop weighs 1.34 kg and is only 14.9 mm thick.
HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14 Screen
The Ultra Flip 14, as the name implies, has an OLED panel of 14 -inch resolution that is enabled for Multyuch and offers an update rate of 120 Hz. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and also admits HDR. HP also states that the panel offers a response time of 0.2 ms and up to 500 brightness nits in HDR mode.
The OLED panel is excellent for watching movies and especially HDR content. You get deep black and vivid color reproduction. The screen also becomes quite bright inside, although I would recommend not using the laptop outdoors due to the bright panel.
However, the tactile response in the panel is excellent, and can easily use it as a tablet. However, I preferred to use it in store mode, since using it, since a tablet feels uncomfortable very soon due to weight. The panel is also compatible with an optical pencil input and will obtain the MPP 2.0 rechargeable HP inclination pen in the box.
HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14 keyboard, touch panel, speakers and webcam
The keyboard on the laptop is ideal for writing. The row of functions is a clearer gray tone compared to the rest of the keyboard, and the ignition button is light blue with a scanner of fingerprints embedded. There is a good space between the keys, the background light is good enough and there are decent trips. However, I would have preferred if the arrow keys were a bit larger.
HP has equipped the Ultra Flip 14 with a large touch panel that works very well and admits multitouch gestures. Hptical feedback is also quite good, but it can be a bit strong.
However, the speakers are not so strong, but they are good enough for interior use. It obtains double background removal speakers, which offer clear audio and are strong but lack the lower end.
The laptop has a 9 megapixel webcam that comes with a physical shutter. The quality is good, with enough details and mostly precise colors in good lighting condition. It is better than many other web cameras for laptop. However, little light performance leaves something to be desired.
HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14 Software
As it is a co -pilot+ PC, you get a couple of AI functions, but the Microsoft marquee retreat function was not anywhere. The laptop executes Windows 11 at home and you get a lot of HP software baked as Poly Camera Pro, AI Companion, HP Smart, McAfee Livesfe and HP Omen.
While most of the applications that I mentioned above were not really so useful, you can use the AI Companion application to search through PDF, if that is something that has long done. The laptop has a powerful Intel NPU, but there are not enough characteristics of AI to test it.
You can use the Chatbot co -driver and there are also a lot of AI tools available in paint that can be useful. The Poly Camera Pro application can also be useful during video calls or transmission, since it offers automatic frames, funds, water marks, attention and a lot of camera filters. There are also Windows Studio effects that can improve their experience in video calls.
HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14 Performance
Our review unit came with the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V chipset combined with 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage and the integrated GPU Intel Arc 140V. The laptop worked quite well in the daily use that Chrome involved with a lot of open tabs, video transmission on YouTube or Netflix, running applications such as Slack and a lot of typification.
I executed a lot of reference points on the laptop to see how he worked against the Ultra Ultra chips of Intel Core Series 1 and you can see the improvements, especially in the GPU performance.

The integrated GPU is also good enough to run games such as Forza Horizon 4, which delivered approximately 40-50 fps on the laptop. I never found important problems or delay while using the laptop, and the cooling system handled the heat well during heavy tasks, such as games and video editing.
HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14 drums
The battery life in the omnibook ultra flip 14 was impressive, to say the least. I was able to get 9-10 hours of use (a complete work day) out of the laptop, with approximately 30 percent of the remaining battery. The new sets of Intel Core Ultra Series 2 chips are definitely more efficient than before, without sacrificing performance too much.
HP omnibook Ultra Flip 14 verdict
Time for the verdict, and I would like to say that the HP Omnibook Ultra Flip 14 is definitely expensive, and that is something that prevents me from recommending it to users. However, if the price is not a problem, and should see a fall soon, then this laptop 2 in 1 HP is a good purchase.
The omnibook ultra flip 14 has an excellent OLED screen, a good performance, especially in the games, a large battery life and is portable. While some basic concepts are lost, such as a USB type A port, it is not so bad. If you are a creator looking for a 2 in 1 with an excellent screen and a good battery life, this is a very good option.
