Hollywood actress, Meryl Streep, had a tense escape from the forest fires of Los Angeles, according to her nephew, Abe Streep. The 75 -year -old actress was forced to cut a hole in her close enough to drive while evacuating her house on January 8. Forest fires, which began a day before, extended rapidly in parts of the city, forcing many residents to flee.
Abe Streep shared details of the incident in a Article of New York magazine, highlighting the destruction caused by fires. Emergency services have been working to contain fires, and officials urge residents to stay alert.
“The evacuation mandates were sent through the city. My aunt Meryl Streep received an order to evacu , Abe wrote in New York magazine.
“Determined to leave, she borrowed a neighbor’s wire cutters, cut a hole to the size of a car in the fence she shared with the residents of the other side and led through her patio to escape.”
The forest fires, which have devastated large portions of the Los Angeles area, went on for the first time in Pacific Palisades and extended to Malibu and Santa Monica, with the Eaton fire impacting particularly impacting the area of Altadena-Pasadena.
