Honor 200 Pro Review: Honorable but expensive camera phone

Honor 200 Pro Review: Honorable but expensive camera phone

0:00

Honor has advanced in the Indian smartphone market with its official performance. In less than a year, the company has introduced several smartphones that offer unique characteristics and capable cameras. On the basis of this exaggeration, the brand presented the Honor 200 Pro. The last Honor Telephone is aimed at the Premium segment and comes with a price of RS 57,999 for the only variant with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.

The Honor 200 Pro is equipped with a premium design language and offers Pro grade cameras to compete rigidly with people like Samsung and Apple. The telephone also includes specifications and flagship features, which surely makes it an interesting device. However, is Premium buyers enough? This is what you need to know.

Honor 200 Pro Design: Premium and Sleek

  • Dimensions – 63.3 x 75.2 x 8.2 mm
  • Weight – 199g
  • Colors: black and oceanic cyan

Honor knows how to design smartphones. In the past, we have also seen the company get some single design phones. Now, its re -entry, the brand does not leave stone without moving to impress customers with its 200 Pro honor design. The phone has two color options: black and oceanic cyan. I obtain the latter for the review, and Chico, surely has a relaxing end.

The Honor 200 Pro is available in black and cyan options.

The rear of the device comes with a wavy texture finish inspired by the natural coast. The design has a velvety finish, which makes it slippery, so the use of a case is advisable with it. The phone also has a large pill -shaped camera module that houses the camera skill.

The phone is thin, has a thickness of 8.2 mm and weighs 199 grams, which makes you feel comfortable to hold. The distribution of weight is also good, so it will not feel uncomfortable with prolonged use. My only complaint is that I could have a better IP rating. The phone has an IP65 rating, which seems disappointing compared to competition. We have phones at a lower price level that offer IP68 or IP69 ratings.

Honor 200 Pro Display: Colorful and bright

  • Screen – 1.78 inch curved screen of 1.5k AMOLED
  • Update speed: 120Hz screen update speed
  • Other features: 3840Hz PWM attenuation, 100 percent of DCI -P3 color range, 4,000 maximum brightness

The Honor 200 Pro is loaded with a high exhibition of 6.78 inches. The curved screen on all four sides offers an experience without bezel. The screen offers bright and colorful images. The phone provides Widevine L1 support along with HDR10+support, which allows you to watch HDR content in Netflix, Prime Videos and YouTube. While looking ‘Ring of Power Season 2’, the exhibition showed rich colors and dark scenes came to be good with deep blacks.

The phone is loaded with a quadruple AMOLED screen that offers vibrant colors.

The phone also has a dynamic speed update speed of the 120 Hz screen that allows a soft displacement experience. The phone also has some interesting visualization characteristics so that the visual experience is customizable. You get color modes: natural and vivid. There is also a video enhancer that improves colors and contrast of videos on different transmission platforms. Continuing, the circadian night screen helps adjust the color temperature automatically. In addition, you get 4,000 nursing of maximum brightness, which makes it a bright screen to use in outdoor conditions.

The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor in the sample that works well, although the position is a little lower than my taste. However, you can choose between animations, which are always fun to use. An area where I feel that the company could have done better is protection. The phone does not come with any type of corning or any other screen protection, which makes it mandatory to apply a good screen protector.

Honor 200 Pro Software: Bloatware is a humorous murderer

  • Software – Magi 8.0
  • Version – Android 14
  • Promised updates: 3 years of operating system updates and 4 years of security patches

Honor 200 pro is executed on Android 14, which is based on Magic OS 8.1

The Honor 200 Pro is charged with Magicos 8.0, based on the Android 14. The user interface is easy to accustom and offers some good levels of customizations and characteristics. The company claims to have added characteristics of AI as a magic capsule, magical portal, magical ring and more. If you want to know more about the software, you can go to the 200 Honor review to learn more in depth.

Honor 200 Pro Performance: Smooth operator

  • Processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3
  • Memory – 12GB (LPDDR5X)
  • Storage – 512GB (UFS 3.1)

The Honor 200 Pro is loaded with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Degree Blashing processor. The same chipset is also present in Xiaomi 14 Civi, which is almost 10,000 rs cheaper than the Honor 200 Pro. Although synthetic reference points show some excellent results, they look a bit disappointing compared to the tastes of OnePlus 12, Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, Iqoo 12 and more. You can check the reference scores below:

Benchmark Honor 200 Pro OnePlus 12
Antutu V10 1,193,736 1,629,220

GFXBENCH T-REX 60 60
GFXBENCH Manhattan 3.1 60 60
GFXBENCH Car Chase 60 60

In daily use, it will not face any problem or delay. Even with demanding tasks, the phone does not strangle much, which is good.

While playing Call of Duty: Mobile with predetermined configuration for high and very high frame graphics and speeds, respectively. Even with a very high quality and maximum box speed, I noticed that there was no plot fall. However, the phone is heated slightly around the camera module, but was not at an alarming level.

Honor 200 7 cameras: show star

  • Rear-sonsor omnivision ov50H of 50 megapixels with f/1.9 Opening + 12 megapixel wide camera + 50 megapixels SONY IMX856 2.5X Portrait sensor
  • Front – 50 megapixel sensor Sony IMX906 with opening f/2.1

The cameras are the highlight of the Honor 200 Pro, which focuses on the photograph of portraits. For this, the brand was associated with Studio Harcourt, a French photography studio famous for its portraits.

Integration works in favor of honor as you get some photos of fantastic and well detailed portraits of the phone. The 2.5X camera captures good quality photos in daylight conditions and with little light. The Bokeh effect in the background looks natural, and the skin tone is not supersaturated.

The phone has three Harcourt modes: Harcourt Vibrant, Harcourt Color and Harcourt Classic. I liked the Harcourt Classic mode, since it delivered some well -defined black and white portraits that seem at the study level.

The telephone also offers a good daylight photograph. I received detailed and forceful colors consistent during the entire trial period. The dynamic range is handled correctly, balancing the overexposed parts of the images.

Honor 200 Ultrawide camera samples. (Touch to expand)

The Ultrawide camera is not as consistent as the primary sensor. That said, he still clicks balanced colors, but you can see some distortion along the edges, which ruins the mood.

Honor 200 pro camera samples with low light. (Touch to expand)

Upon reaching the performance of little light of honor 200 Pro, the main sensor does a good job again. The noises are maintained at least, and the phone can preserve the colors when the light is low. The ultra wide angle was not up to the brand, since the photos became less detailed and full of noise.

Honor 200 Pro battery: Decent backup, there is no fast charger in the box

  • Battery capacity – 5,200 mAh (double cell)
  • Cable load – 100W Supercharge
  • Wireless load – 66W wireless supercharge
  • Loader – 100W (not included)

The phone is loaded with a 5,200 mAh battery that offers a good output. With casual to moderate, the phone lasted almost two days. Under heavy use, the phone offers almost a full day backup day.

Honor 200 Pro Battery Gadgets 360 Honor 200 Pro

The Honor 200 Pro offers a decent battery life, although there is no charger in the box.

In our battery loop test, the phone lasted 26 hours. It is also compatible with 100W fast charge support, although the company does not offer any charger with the box, which is a real annoyance. The phone also admits the 66W wireless load, but unfortunately, the brand currently does not sell the wireless charger in India. With respect to loading speeds, the phone was loaded 33 percent in 15 minutes, 65 percent in 30 minutes and was completely charged in an hour.

Honor 200 Pro verdict

The Honor 200 Pro seems to be the best attempt of the brand to capture the Premium segment. The last telephone offers a premium design that looks elegant and unique. The screen looks clear, and you will definitely enjoy watching movies or playing games. The performance is satisfactory and will not face any problem during daily use. The cameras are the show star and capture some good results both in daylight and in low light conditions. The battery life is decent, although the software is still full of Bloatware.

That said, the fierce competition 200 pro is directed to IQOO 12 (review), OnePlus 12 (review), Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and even Xiaomi 14 Civi (review).
