The complaints that accumulate of the Prajavani program are indicative of the apathy of the Zonal Level and Circle of the Municipal Corporation of the Great Hyderabad with respect to the unauthorized constructions or structures with deviations.
The update of the action report taken, which is the rudimentary step towards resolution, is pending for more than 47% of the complaints received from the areas, official sources reported.
During the 17 Prajavani sessions held from October 7 of last year until January 27 of this year, a total of 330 complaints related to the urban planning wing had been received, almost all of which were structures and impediments not authorized.
The action reports taken have been updated only for 174 complaints so far, while for 156 complaints, the reports have not yet been updated. Notices have been issued in 93 cases after the verification of the ground level of the rape. Of these, final speech orders were issued in 64 instances, and special working groups were asked to carry out the demolition in 24 cases. The real demolitions were carried out only in seven cases so far. In 22 cases, respondents received suspension orders from the Superior Court, against demolition.
The majority of the complaints from the three areas that had been part of the old municipal corporation of Hyderabad were received: Khairatabad, Secunderabad and Charminar.
Of the 330 complaints, the largest number of 101 was received from the Khairatabad zone, which constitutes the circles of Mehdipatnam, Karwan, Goshamahal, Khairatabad and Jubilee Hills. Of these circles, the greatest number of infractions was reported by Goshamahal, at 37.
Secunderabad followed Khairatbad with 83 complaints, the circles of Musheerabad and Amberpet only represented 50 of them. With 64 complaints, Charminar was in third.
These numbers are mere iceberg tips, since the real number of unauthorized structures without complaints are much higher, officials affirm.
Efforts are made to equip special working groups at the zonal level enough to take measures immediately after demolition orders are received. Commissioner K.ilambarithi is reviewing the complaints weekly.
During the Prajavani program on Monday, Ms. He asked them to provide the written action timeline to the petitioners. Of the total of 44 complaints received at the GHMC headquarters, 22 belonging to urban planning, GHMC reported. In addition, 86 more complaints were received in the program made in GHMC size areas.
