Most headaches are minor, and you can treat them with an analgesic. However, some headaches indicate a dangerous or severe medical condition. Do not ignore the headaches that are not explained or headaches that are constantly worse.
When to look for emergency help
Get immediate medical attention If your headache:

- It lasts several days.
- It causes mental confusion or loss of consciousness.
