As the high key election continues in the period prior to the surveys of the Delhi Assembly, Haryana’s Prime Minister Nayab Singh Saini, on Tuesday (January 29, 2025) attacked in the Supreme Court of the AAM AADMI party ( Aap) Arvind Kejriwal that surrounds its’ poisonous water ” observation, qualifying it as a “political trick” to divert the attention of the failures of its AAP government in Delhi.

Mr. Saini said that guaranteeing a reliable water supply to the national capital is a collective responsibility, which Haryana is complying diligently and without any deficiency.

In a statement, Mr. Saini said that Delhi receives his drinking water supply of 1049 Cusecs in Munak from the waters of the Yamuna and Ravi-base rivers. “Haryana constantly supplies this water to Delhi through two channels: the carrier line (CLC) and the Delhi branch. Since the implementation of the transport line channel in 2014, Haryana has not supplied water to Delhi through drains or directly from the Yamuna River; Instead, clean water is supplied exclusively through the CLC and Delhi branch channel system, ”he said.

Mr. Saini said that between January 7 and 13, 2021, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) tested Yamunanagar water (Haryana) to Wazirabad (Delhi) and investigated the main causes of pollution. “The investigation revealed that dirty water is being unloaded illegally between Palla and Wazirabad.

In addition, the accumulation of sediments in the Wazirabad pond was causing an increase in ammonia nitrogen levels. However, the Delhi government has not taken any measure on the CPCB report since 2021. Nor has the illegal discharge of contaminated water between Palla and Wazirabad be arrested or any effort has been made to clean the Wazirabad pond, ”he said.
