The 67th annual delivery of the Grammy Awards took place on Sunday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The Indian-American vocalist Chandrika Tandon won the Grammy Award for Best AGA, Ambient or Chant for her album TRIVENI, Hitting competitors like Ricky Kej and Anoushka Shankar.
Chandrika shared the honor with his collaborators: the South African flutist Wouter Kellerman and the Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto. Others nominated in the same category included Rupture of dawn By Ricky Kej, Opus By Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chapter II: How dark is before dawn By Anoushka Shankar, and Light warriors By Radichika Vekaria.
The General Consulate of India in New York congratulated Chandrika through his official X account (previously Twitter), stating: “Congratulations to Mrs. Chandrika Tandon @chandrikatandon Triveni!
This year’s Grammys were also notable for other events, such as Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori was escorted by the police. In addition, the Hollywood star, Will Smith, made his first appearance in the televised awards program from the infamous Slap 2022 incident at the Academy Awards. He opened the tribute to Quincy Jones, presenting Herbie Hancock in the piano and then welcoming Cynthia Erivo, who acted Take me to the moon.
