The government is encouraging private partners under the couple’s public-private model for the common goal of developing the tourism sector in Andhra Pradesh, said Minister of Tourism and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh.
Participating as the main guest in the coffee and conversation event organized by Westin College in a hotel in Vijayawada on Thursday, the minister and founder and president of Volksy Technologies, Murali Bukkapatnam, answered several students’ questions.
In one of his responses, the minister said that the government is focusing on developing all aspects of tourism, including ecological tourism, adventure tourism, religious tourism and cultural tourism.
“The State has an immense potential to become a tourist center. He is blessed with a coastal line, historical sites, religious centers. Whether Konaseema or Tipati, each place has something to offer for a tourist. But, unfortunately, its potential remained without exploit, “said the minister, adding that the government would provide capital incentives, open a single window system for entrepreneurs in the tourism sector to accelerate the approval process.
The government is also planning a meeting with film producers to discuss ways to establish studies and dubbing in cinemas in the state, he said.
Mr. Murali Bukkapatnam, who was chosen by the Global Indo Entrepreneurs (TIE) as president of his Global Trustee Board by 2025, spoke about his struggles, setbacks and successes. He encouraged students, more than 400, to work hard, think creatively. He shared ideas about what is needed to be a good entrepreneur.
The director of Westin College, K. Durga Prasad, the director P. Chandrasekhar, members of the Faculty, businessmen and students were present at the event.
