Google’s Pixel ‘A’ Series is designed to aim at the worldwide budget smartphones segment, but that is not aligned with the “Budget” segment in India. For example, Pixel 3A was launched in India in RS. 39,999 and offered the quality of the leading camera in segments (with only one camera), but also fell short in terms of processing power, lack of waterproofing, etc. The Pixel 6a was the first smartphone in the series that approached to justify its RS. 43,999 launch price. But in our review, we discovered that it still lacked that premium thrust compared to the competition, and was left behind in some basic characteristics.
With the launch of the Pixel 7a, Google seems to have made a great leap forward and has been burning, it is already specific specifications, design or characteristics. Let’s take a closer look at the new and different.
The Google Pixel 7A is available in a single RAM storage option of 8 GB and 128 GB, but comes in three colors: coal, snow and sea. The device has a price of RS. 43,999 in India, which is the same in what the Pixel 6a launched. There is still no charger included in the box, only a USB type C to Type-C cable and a fast change adapter.
The design of the Google Pixel 7A has a renewed appearance. The screen at the front obtains Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while the rear panels (above and under the camera band) are still made of plastic. The band and the frame now have an updated appearance that is very similar to the Pixel 7 series. The band itself with the two rear oriented cameras is now made of metal and combines without problems with the rounded metal frame on the sides.
Google Pixel 7A has a similar size screen such as Pixel 6a, but adds an 90Hz update rate
The Pixel 7A has also maintained its IP67 classification for dust and water resistance as well as the previous model. In general, it looks and feels quite premium, especially compared to the oldest 6th pixel.
Also updated, it is the screen. It still has the same factor so as the previous model, but the update speed has received an increase of up to 90Hz. The 6.1-inch Full-HD+ OLED screen also comes with HDR playback support. In addition to making the Android 13 software fluid, it must also go into use while playing fast rhythm games.
Hardware of the camera updated in the Pixel 7A benefits from the G2 soc tensor, with new features such as long exhibition chamber modes
Another important update on Google Pixel 7A is the G2 soc tensor. This processor can also be found on more premium devices, such as Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. For the first time, Google has equipped a device from the pepper series with 8 GB of RAM, since previous models have limited themselves to 4GB or 6GB only.
The cameras have also received a review. Now there is a 64 megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), which should (in theory) help capture better zoom images thanks to the super res Zoom of Google function. Accompanying is an ultra -wide camera of 13 megapixels, and you get a 13 megapixel selfie camera in advance, which have also been updated on the previous model.
The Google Tensioner G2 SOC in the Pixel 7A also allows new camera features such as Unblur in the photos, the fastest night view and long exposure modes, which are not possible in Pixel 6a.
Google Pixel 7a looks quite premium with its renewed design
The battery capacity is the only thing that has retreated a bit. It has fallen to 4,385 mAh of the previous 4.410 mAh in the Pixel 6a. Google has added the wireless load in Pixel 7a, a feature that has gradually reached many more medium -rank devices, such as the Telephone Nothing 1.
Google Pixel 7a seems a solid update on Pixel 6a. It definitely feels more premium, both, in terms of design and additional characteristics. But are these sufficient updates to compete against the current Android telephone harvest in India and, more importantly, does it justify its price? We will discover it in our complete review.
