Gongadi Trisha teenage sensation, who became the first player to score a hundred in the Women’s Women’s World Cup in progress, has accredited his ‘idol’ and the legendary Mithali Raj to influence his game, particularly how he would ritular his tickets. On Tuesday, the first Indian party reached an undefeated 110 of 53 balls that promoted India to a dominant victory of 150 races over Scotland. India registered a huge 208/1 before playing Scotland for only 58 at its Super Six meeting.

“I’ve grown up watching Mithali Di, and I really like how I walked through their tickets. I’ve always wanted to do the same. It has always been my idol,” said Trisha, who plays for Hyderabad, in a video published by BCCI.

The dazzling century of Trisha was part of its remarkable form in the tournament.

Previously, he had scored 49 against Sri Lanka and 40 against Bangladesh, demonstrating to be one of the outstanding players for defenders.

“Yes, it’s really special to me. I wanted to do this in the world’s first match, but I had another chance.

“Against Scotland, although we lost the launch, I always wanted to hit first to be able to play the complete 20 overs and score big,” he added.

Trisha, who often does not look at the scoreboard or track his careers, realized that he had scored only a century when his teammates exploded in celebration.

“I just realized that I scored a hundred when the whole team began to encourage me. Usually, I don’t look at the scoreboard or tell my careers. So, it was really special,” he said.

Trisha also played a key role in the victory of India in the U-19 Cup last year with half a century, emerging as one of the rising stars. He also talked about the importance of unwavering his family, particularly his father, who attended to witness the historical moment.

“My father is my greatest defender, so scoring a hundred in a U-19 World Cup in front of him is really special,” he said.

“He comes to see all my national matches, but for the first game here, he somehow missed it.

“However, he made sure to be in the next game because he does not want to miss a single entrance.

“So, I want to dedicate this hundred to him, as well as my mother, since I don’t think it would have been possible without her,” Trisha added.
