Israel will release 183 inmates from prisons on Saturday in the fifth exchange of hostage prisoners, agreed with Hamas as part of an ongoing agreement of Gaza CESEFIRE, according to the defense group of the Palestinian prison club.
“Among those who will be released are 18 perpetual chains, 54 with long prayers and 111 of Gaza that were arrested after October 7,” said Amani Sarahneh, spokesman for the Palestine NGO, to the AFP, referring to the unprecedented attack of Hamas against Israel in 2023 that the Gaza War began.
This follows the launch of three names of Hamas’ Armed Wing, which announced that the captives will be released on Saturday under the flood agreement of AL-AQSA. The armed wing spokesman, Abu Obeida, confirmed the launch on Telegram.
“Within the framework of the Al-Aqsa flood agreement for the exchange of prisoners, the brigades (Ezzed) Al-Qassam have decided to free” the three hostages, Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Navy Wing, said on Telegram.
The Office of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed to AFP that he had received a hostage list for the release of Gaza on Saturday after Hamas published three names of captives to be released.
The Israeli campaign group for the Misshages families and families forum later published the names of the three men scheduled for their release, identifying them such as Eli Sharabi, or Levy and Ohad Ben Ami.
