England announced an eleven without changes on the eve of the third T20i against India in Rajkot, Gujarat. England continued the tendency to announce its eleven one day before T20I. The three lions are on the verge of losing the T20i series after suffering defeats in the first two games. For the third T20i, Ben Duckett and Philip Salt will open the tickets for England, with Captain Jos Buttler occupying the number three. Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Jamie Smith and Jamie Overton will form a formidable medium order. Brydon Crse, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood will lead the rhythm attack, with Adil Rashid as the only spinner specialist. As in the previous T20i, Livingstone can contribute its leg turn during a couple of overs.
With the series at stake, the third T20I will be of great importance for the English team. The team led by Jos Buttler was completely defeated in the first game in the series, but managed to give India a hard fight in Chennai.
In the first T20I in Eden Gardens in Calcutta, the English batters were deceived by the Indian bowling players. The rapid left arm Arshdeep Singh did a quick job with the initial torque of Duckett and Salt. The Varun Chakravarthy spinner turned out to be a mystery for rival batters when India eliminated England for a total lean of 132. In response, Abhishek Sharma’s fireworks against a dental English attack helped India to ensure a 7 -land victory.
In the second game, the T20I action returned to Chennai after seven years. India needed something special to cross the goal. A fast cameo of 31 (17) by Brydon Crse helped England reach 165/9. In response, India lost land in rapid succession, leaving the hosts in a difficult situation. However, Tilak Varma assumed the responsibility of guiding his team to the finish line, executing his plan perfectly with an undefeated 72 (55) to take India home with a 2 -land victory.
England (playing XI) for the third T20i: Ben Duckett, Philip Salt (W), Jos Buttler (C), Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Jamie Smith, Jamie Overton, Brydon Crse, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood.
