The Government Efficiency Department (Doge), an advisory group led by Elon Musk under the new Trump administration, now has access to the federal payment system, the New York Times reported citing people familiar with change.
The measure will help Musk and his team, which President Donald Trump has commissioned cuts to the United States government, to monitor and potentially limit government spending.

Musk’s allies who have been given access to the payment system were made of the Treasury, approved the government’s background verifications and obtained the necessary security authorizations, according to the NYT report.
However, they have not yet won operational capabilities and government payments have not been blocked, according to the report.
The earliest Saturday, Musk said that Doge’s team had discovered that paying officers in the treasure were always “instructed to approve payments, including fraudulent groups or known terrorists.”
“Literally they never denied a payment throughout their career. Not even once,” the billionaire published in X.

Trump and Musk have affirmed that $ 2 billion could be saved by reducing federal government spending.
The president of the United States had also taken advantage of billionaire businessman Vivek Ramasswamy to lead Days with Musk, but decided to take aside and run for Ohio governor.

Musk help that enclose federal workers outside computer systems
Elon Musk’s assistants accused of administering the United States Government Human Resources Agency to two agency officials.
Musk has been trying to install allies in the agency known as the Personnel Management Office (OPM).
The two officials said that some employees of their OPM career have revoked their access to some of the department’s data systems.
The officials said that the systems include a vast database called Enterprise Human Resources Integration, which contains birth dates, social security numbers, evaluations, housing addresses, payment grades and the duration of the service of government workers.
“We have no visibility of what they are doing with the computer and data systems,” said one of the officials. “That is creating great concern. There is no supervision. Create a true cybersecurity and piracy implications.”
