Delhi-dehradun Highway: The Delhi-Dehradun highway has reached a new milestone by opening a 3.5 km section. This is part of a larger 31.6 km project designed to significantly shorten travel times between the two cities.
According to the Ministry of Transportation and Highway Roads (Morth), the Controlled Access Greenfield Access Delhi-Dehradunfield Highway of 212 km long has been built by RS 12,000 million rupees.
Divided into four sections, this highway is being built from the Delhi-Mumbai highway near Akshardham in Delhi, Shastri Park, Khajuri Khas, Epe exchange in Khekra in Mandola, Baghpat, Shamli, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh A Dehradun, Uttrakhand.
Route without charge
The first 18 km, which extend from the Akshardham temple to Loni, will be free of tolls, which will provide a perfect experience to travelers.
3.5 km open stretching
A crucial 3.5 km section of the Delhi-Dehradun highway, which covers Aharodi from Daat Kali, is now in full functioning. Previously, only three lanes could be accessible, but the six lanes are now open, ensuring a softer and more efficient trip between the two regions.
Infrastructure
Designed to improve road safety and reduce travel time, the highway extends 31.6 km and has six lanes. It includes seven underground steps, two bridge on bridges (robs) and a total of 54 main crosses and 37 minors that facilitate the congestion and improvement of traffic flow.
Foot on bridges
To guarantee the safety of pedestrians, especially for students, bridges standing in several places will be installed. These will provide a safe cross option without interrupting the vehicular movement.
High sections
The highway also has two high sections of 200 meters, even more improving connectivity and reducing travel interruptions.
