New Delhi:
The Congress on Tuesday went to a dispute between the AAP and the BJP, which the latter, through his Haryana government, had tried to put “poison” in Yamuna and, therefore, pollute the water supply of water from Delhi.
A delegation of the Congress met with the Electoral Commission this afternoon to complain against both, demanding the action of the AAP if the claims are proven false and against the BJP if it is true.
This was after the main leaders of the AAP, including the head of the party, Arvind Kejriwal, and Punjab Prime Minister Bhagwant Mann presented complaints for their own ammonia levels in the Yamuna.
On Monday, Mr. Kejriwal declared that the BJP had done “something that may never have been done in history.” “The people of Delhi get drinking water from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh … but the Haryana government has mixed poison in the water that arrives in Delhi from Yamuna and sent it here …”
He affirmed that only the surveillance of the Board of Delhi Jal saved the city and criticized the “attempt to create chaos … hoping that guilt falls in AAP.” The DJB, however, did not play ball; He called “false.”

The BJP hit hard; The Prime Minister of Haryana, Nayab Saini, said: “It is his nature and thought to accuse and flee …” and Labor Minister Anil Vij called Mr. Kejriwal “a lies factory.”
Later, the sources said the Haryana government can take legal actions.
However, the AAP and Mr. Kejriwal remained without discouragement in making their claim of “poisoned water” and, this morning, the ruling party accused the BJP of “water terrorism.”

“Ammonia levels continue to be six times above normal in Yamun Delhi.
“This is not an act of negligence; it is an act of water terrorism deliberately impact on the behavior of free and fair elections in Delhi,” he wrote in the AAP letter to the Electoral Commission.
Mr. Saini replied again, thundering: “For these blatantly false and unpleasant statements, Arvind Kejriwal should apologize immediately with the people of Haryana and Delhi …”
Congress joins Yamuna Water Row
And now Congress has joined the fight, but, surprisingly, it is not (openly) against the BJP. Instead, it seems to be attacking the AAP, a member of the opposition block of India and an ally (on paper).
Sandeep Dikshit of Congress, disputing the seat in the New Delhi Assembly against Mr. Kejriwal (and Parvesh Verma of the BJP), said he was surprised by the lack of police action against the leader of the AAP.
Yamuna Haryana Report for the CE
Meanwhile, the Haryana government has submitted a report to the EC, stating that the water supplied to Delhi does not come directly from Yamuna, but through a network of channels.
Haryana also increases the ammonia in the water supply due to dirty water of the tankers who throw the ponds (feeding the channels) near Wazirabad, a town near Delhi. It was also pointed out that in 2021 the Delhi government had been advised to improve the capabilities of plants to clean the water.
At present, according to the Haryana government report, Delhi can deal with only one PPM, or parts per million, for the ammonia. The Uttar Pradesh government can, cited as an example, to deal with 24 ppm.
Debate about the water of the Yamuna River
The debate on the cleaning and potability of Yamuna’s water is now of particular importance, since they were guaranteed by Mr. Kejriwal before the 2020 Delhi elections.
However, no promise has been fulfilled, and Mr. Kejriwal is aware of this problem.

Last week he admitted to Delhi’s voters that he had not assured that Yamuna’s water is clean and drinkable, but insisted that this will become a reality if his AAP votes to a third consecutive mandate.
“I am sincere with my promises. Or I fulfill them, or I admit that I promised but I could not do it. I could not meet three promises: clean the yamuna, provide clean drinking water and make the roads of European standards of Delhi,” Kejriwal said in a demonstration In Laxmi Bai Nagar de Delhi.
Unfortunately for AAP, the recognition of Mr. Kejriwal has not stopped BJP attacks. The Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, took a blow while a dip in the Ganges today during Maha Kumbh.

“He [Mr Kejriwal] He promised that he would purify the Yamuna River in seven years and modify it as well as the Thames River in London, “Shah said in a demonstration.
“He even said that he would take a dip in the Yamuna against Delhiites. I can therefore get rid of his sins,” Shah said.
