Virendra Sachdeva, Delhi’s BJP chief, has implored Lt. Governor VK Saxena to void the merger of four government properties that have been assimilated into the bungalow’s sprawling estate. In a scathing letter, Sachdeva alleges unauthorized acquisitions that have expanded the bungalow’s footprint.
Kejriwal, who vacated the residence amidst intense scrutiny, once defended it as a necessary upgrade for the office of the Chief Minister. However, the BJP’s relentless accusations of corruption and misuse of public funds have taken their toll.
For over two years, the BJP has relentlessly targeted Kejriwal, portraying the lavish renovations as a symbol of excess and abuse of power. This campaign has resonated, propelling the BJP to victory in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, ending AAP’s reign over the national capital.
