What distinguishes the quinoa from other grains?

It has a high protein content. Nutritionist Amita Gadre explains that 100 grams of quinoa provide 13 grams of protein. In comparison, grains such as Wheat, Jowar and Bajra offer approximately 10 grams per 100 grams. This difference makes quinoa a preferred choice for vegetarians with the aim of satisfying their protein needs easily.

Can quinoa meet your protein needs?

No, he can’t. While quinoa contains all essential amino acids, which makes it a complete protein, trusting only it will not be enough. Gadre points out that a quinoa portion (approximately 13 grams) offers only 4 grams of protein. This is not enough for a high protein diet aimed at maintaining or building muscle.

How to turn quinoa into a high food in protein

To make quinoa a more balanced protein source, combine it with complementary foods. Gadre suggests combining it with protein -rich options such as paneer, lentils or chicken. These combinations not only increase their nutritional profile, but also make meals more satisfactory.

Common quinoa errors and how to avoid them

1. Jump the rinse

Do not rinse quinoa leaves its protective lining of intact saponine, which leads to a bitter taste. Rinse well before cooking to avoid this.
