The reigning of the Odi World Cup champions, Australia, will have to make four changes in their preliminary team for the Champions Trophy, after brutal blows on Thursday. After Marcus Stainis announced a sudden retirement from Odi, a report said that Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood have also been discarded from the champions trophy due to injuries. Previously, Mitchell Marsh withdrew from the Champions Trophy due to a back injury. “Cummins has not recovered from the ankle problem that tormented him towards the end of the recent series of trophy tests of Gavaskar Border Gavaskar against India, while Hazlewood has developed a hip problem after previous hip and calves strains,” A report from Cricket.com.au wrote.

“Both rapid bowling players will require a prolonged rehabilitation period before receiving the clear whole to return to the game, which places an interrogation sign on their participation in the Premier League India that follows the Champions Trophy.”

Marcus Stoinis announced on Thursday his immediate retirement from the one -day’s international Cricket, leaving Australia to need to replace all terrain on his team of Champions Trophy. The surprise announcement is another blow to the World Champions of Australia before the elite tournament of eight higher teams, which begins on February 19 in Pakistan and Dubai.

“Playing Cricket Odi for Australia has been an incredible trip and I am grateful for every moment I have had in green and gold,” said Stainis, 35, who debuted in 2015.

It was established as usual in the team the following year, scoring 146 not against New Zealand in Eden Park and taking three Wickts.

“I will be encouraging the boys in Pakistan,” he added.

The International Race of 50 about Stainis began against England a decade ago in Old Trafford and also played his first Twenty20 International on that tour. He played in 74 Odi and was part of the winning team of the Australian World Cup in 2023.

He said that his decision to retire from 50 on Crick was to focus on playing Cricket Twenty20, where he will remain available for Australia.
