Local sources said at least 11 were killed, while other 22 were injured in the attack.
However, the Baloch Liberation Army, which claimed responsibility for the attack, claimed 90 Pakistani army personnel were killed, according to Reuters.
Later, Pakistani authorities claimed five deaths in the attack.
Reuters also quoted senior Superintendent of Police for Noskhi district, Hashim Momand, as saying that more than 30 paramilitary force members were left injured in the attack.
This comes days after the same group hijacked the Jaffar Express in Pakistan and held hostages for more than 30 hours.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a statement condemned the attack, which came as Pakistan deals with a growing security crisis in its regions bordering Afghanistan.
