While a tablet is a good tool for a creative professional, it does not offer the versatility of a complete laptop. You could opt for a laptop 2 in 1, but there are not many options out there that they will not blow a hole in your pocket. Until now, that is. The new Asus Proart PZ13 has a competitive price 2-in-1 that presents the new Snapdragon X Plus chipset and promises to offer great performance with an even better battery life. It is a good alternative to Microsoft Surface Pro, especially if you want something cheaper.
The Proart PZ13 also offers much more at an initial price of RS. 1,04,990. It obtains a brilliant screen, a good form of shape, a light design and useful accessories. Should this be your new laptop 2 in 1? Find out below.
Asus Proart Pz13 design: Industrial

Asus has gone with an industrial aspect for the Proart PZ13, which feels hard and premium. It obtains an aluminum unibody with beveled edges and a thickness of 9 mm. The bezel around the screen has a pattern that is supposed to echo the ‘Professional Chamber’ design ‘, and some other elements make the design otherwise stand out. It would have been good if Asus included a kick built on the rear panel. Instead, you get a separate box, which adds to the thickness of the tablet.
The tablet does not attract many digital footprints
The Proart PZ13 also offers an IP52 rating and claims to have approved several MIL-STD-810H tests. The rear panel also houses a small cleft that acts as the air entrance and a camera mounted on the ras. Surprisingly, it does not attract many digital footprints or spots.
In port terms, the Windows tablet presents an ignition button on the upper edge and the exhaust responses for the single fan. The right edge houses the volume buttons, while the left has an exposed USB port, a rubber fin that hides another USB USB port and a full -size SD card slot.

ASUS PROART PZ13: sharp, bright and vivid

The touch screen in the Proart PZ13 is bright and colorful. It is also quite acute since the 13 -inch OLED panel offers a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, a response time of 0.2 ms and an appearance ratio of 16:10, which is excellent for productivity users and content creators. However, it only offers a maximum update rate of 60Hz. The screen offers a good brightness inside, but the brilliant coating makes it difficult to use outside direct sunlight. To keep the spider -free panel, Asus has offered Gorilla Glass NBT protection.
OLED touch screens offer good colors and have excellent viewing angles.
When it comes to colors and other improvements, the screen offers Dolby Vision, HDR and Validation of Pantone and covers a range of DCI-P3 100 percent colors. See content was a good screen experience, but the photos can be a bit supersaturated in the standard color profile. It is better to use a DCI-P3 color profile if you want more precise colors or the SRGB profile for photo/video edition. It should be noted that to obtain access to the available color profiles, you must first use them in the Proart Creator Hub application.
The visualization angles and the tactile response were also quite good in the OLED panel. Speaking of touch response, the screen also admits the pen entrance and you can use the Asus Pen 2.0 to draw, write and more.

Get a removable keyboard in the box. It connects to the chassis using pogo connectors and strong magnets. I found that the quality of the keyboard case was good. The keys are backlighted with adequate lighting in the dark and offer approximately 1.35 mm travel. The writing experience is good, and everything feels very stable despite being thin. There is also a co -pilot key and a complete row of function keys.

Centered under the keyboard there is a spacious touch panel. It has a smooth surface, admits multitactile gestures and the click mechanism works effectively. I had no trouble using the tactile panel for work and navigation.
The Proart PZ13 has two stereo speakers oriented to the sides that admit Dolby Atmos. While they provide a decent audio quality for a tablet, they may not be ideal for a laptop. The speakers offer a complete sound without distortions even at a maximum volume. However, their volume is somewhat limited, and can cover them inadvertently while holding the tablet.
Both cameras in the proart pz13 work well in daylight conditions
Asus has provided two cameras in the Proart PZ13, which are quite good. The 5 megapixel front camera works well in daylight conditions and produces a somewhat noisy video in low light conditions. He admits the facial recognition of Hello Hello Windows and also comes with IR sensors. You also get a 3 microphone matrix for clear voice recording. There is also a 13 megapixel rear camera, but I’m not sure what it is for. Record 1080p video and take decent photos in daylight conditions.

It is software time, and there are enough extras in the Proart PZ13, apart from its standard Windows 11 tools, which include some characteristics of AI such as Copilot, Cocreator in paint, live subtitles, effects of Windows Studio and Super Automatic Super Resolution. Eventually, you will also get access to the controversial Windows Retirement Function, but it is not yet here.

Additional tools in 2-EN-1 include the Trusty Myasus application, a tool to automatically organize all their exported digital photo files called Storycube and the Proart Creator Hub that allows you to optimize the tablet as you want. You can choose the visualization profile, control the fan speed and change the operational profiles. The ASUS Screatexpert application is also available on the tablet, which allows you to administer several aspects of the touch screen.

Very good, let’s talk about performance. The Proart PZ13 comes with a Snapdragon X Plus chipset of lower level, which is something notable when executing heavy applications or performing tasks that intensify resources. The tablet also begins to heat when opening multiple tabs in Chrome or transmit videos on Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. You will notice a performance delay if you stress the chipset. Compared to the Elite X chipset, there is a drop in the output power when it comes to the use of multiple nuclei. That is expected since the X Plus has an octa-core CPU, while the X elite presents 12 cores. However, there is not much difference when it comes to AI computer science.
Snapdragon X Plus is an octa-core CPU
I executed a pair of synthetic reference points on the PZ13 to see how it worked compared to a laptop with a Snapdragon X Elite CPU. As expected, multiple cores scores in Geekbench, Cinebench and 3Dmark are lower, but the performance of AI is quite similar. All reference points were executed in the performance profile.

You can use the PZ13 proart for most daily tasks, such as navigating the web, creating works of art using the optical pencil, observing content and much more without having to face any important problem. I found that most applications are compatible with the arm; If something does not run, you can always run it in emulated mode. However, during my tests, I did not find such compatibility problems, at least with the applications I used.
Games are a non-score unless you are playing some titles of the old school. I tried to execute a couple of Xbox game passes titles, and the games did not even settle. The tablet did not work well at the reference points of GPU Nomad Raid and Steel Nomad Light.
In terms of connectivity, the tablet offers Wifi 7 (where admitted) and Bluetooth 5.4. During the review period, both worked well.
ASUS PROART PZ13 Battery: Durade

While the Snapdragon X Plus chipset may not offer top -level performance, it offers excellent efficiency. The battery life in the Proart PZ13 is very good, and it can spend days without having to load it when using it for a couple of hours in one day. You could easily make a full day day with the connected keyboard. The great 70Wh battery also helps here.
The tablet can spend days if used only for a couple of hours a day.
Fast charge is also available thanks to the 65W charger included. He took approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to completely load the 10 percent tablet.
ASUS PROART PZ13 VERDICT
The Asus Proart PZ13 is a competitive price 2-1 that offers a good screen, an excellent battery life, decent performance and portability. The removable keyboard and additional kick cover make it as thick as a traditional laptop, but can use it as a tablet with the optical pencil. It is also cheaper than another 2 in 1 in the Snapdragon food market.
If you are not looking to spend a great cash and you are looking for a good value for money 2-EN-1 with a large screen and long-lasting battery duration for your trips, you should probably consider the ASUS Proart PZ13.
