The Apple Vision Pro was expected to be the most important news that came out of WWDC 2023, but some other devices were also announced, including the new Mac computers. In terms of most specifications, it looks a lot like the MacBook Air that was launched in mid -2022, with the M2 chip and up to 512 GB of SSD storage.
I had the opportunity to test the new MacBook Air on WWDC 2023, and physically this is a considerably larger device than the 13 -inch MacBook (M2, 2022). That said, the unmistakable air design language is present, and Apple promotes this as the thinnest 15 -inch portable computer in the world. It is intended for users who want portability and ease of handling that comes with the form factor, but with a slightly larger screen.
MacBook Air First 15 -inch impressions: large size, despite the light weight
The 11.5 mm thickness of the laptop ensures that the 15 -inch macbook air is not very heavy, but the real size of the screen and the device itself makes it a bit difficult to contain with one hand, something I can do quite easily with my 13 -inch Macbook Air much older (2017). Where the form factor of the laptop is really useful is when it is closed; It is easy to slide this into a backpack or bag, provided that the biggest footprint can handle.
In other ways, the 15 -inch MacBook Air is the same as the 13 -inch M2 motor version that was launched in 2022, and the choice between the two focuses mainly on their needs with respect to size and portability.
Naturally, this depends on the type of work you expect to do with your laptop, and in most cases you can find that the 13 -inch version is much more suitable for use cases every day, and powerful enough for this purpose . The 15 -inch version can be useful if you do some photographic or graphic work, as it will have more space to work or multitasking.
I have been using an older macbook for a while, and although I am firm in the alignment of this alignment when I decide to update, I am a little more inclined towards the smallest screen of 13.6 inches. The 13 -inch version is now available at a price of RS. 1,14,900 in India, slightly lower than its price at the launch, so it is possible that you want to consider it also for the lowest price.

The 15.3 -inch screen size in the new Macbook Air is good for a great reason: it no longer has to consider the 16 -inch MacBook Pro much more expensive and powerful if everything you want is a larger screen. The new Macbook Air is reasonably well equipped for the daily computer needs of most users, and will probably also find the 256 GB of storage more than enough.
Said all this, the 13 -inch MacBook with the M2 chip remains my choice for the ideal entry point in the Mac Laptop family, and the ideal update for MacBook Air users of the old school like me.
