Andhra Pradesh Prime Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
It is estimated that Andhra Pradesh’s revenues play ₹ 1,02,154 million rupees during financial year 2024-25.
There would be a marginal increase in profits through the Tax on Goods and Services (GST), Value Added Tax (VAT) and Special and Professional-Commercial Taxes for the Financial Year, the officials informed Prime Minister N. Chandrabu Naidu, in A meeting review in the income gain departments on Tuesday.
For financial year 2023-24, the Department of Commercial Taxes raised a sum of ₹ 41,420 million rupees against ₹ 41,382 million rupees so far during the current fiscal year.
Compared to the previous year, special tax revenues were expected to increase due to the new policy, officials said, added that the income of the mining department had not grown as expected.
Given the mining resources of the SATE, the highest income must come from the mining department, Naidu observed, and requested efforts to increase profits in the mining sector by solving judicial cases and granting approvals.
Referring to commercial tax evasions, Mr. Naidu ordered officials to ensure that no one evaded taxes, but warned them not to harass entrepreneurs.
“Routine work with ordinary objectives will not generate results,” he said. “New ideas must be implemented to increase state income. Take effective measures to get the state from financial problems. Use technology to rectify deficiencies in income generation and increase income, ”he said.
Mr. Naidu said financial resources were crucial to implement well -being and development work programs. The policies of the previous government had reduced the standard of living of people, and an additional burden could not be imposed to generate income, he said.
