The Colombian president Gustavo Petro has been found in the center of a diplomatic dispute with the United States after he refused to allow the entry to Colombia of deported citizens.

In retaliation, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, ordered broad tariffs and sanctions against Colombia on Sunday. The 78 -year -old man imposed a 25 percent tariff on Colombian products, which had to increase 50 percent in a week due to the country’s refusal to accept deportation flights. Given this pressure, President Petro reversed his decision and agreed to allow the deportees of the United States to arrive on Sunday morning.
