SONMARG:
A mass fire broke out in a hotel and spread rapidly to accommodation and nearby stores in the Sonmarg district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
There was no immediate report of victims. The sources, however, said that several stores and hotels were destroyed in the fire.
The cause of the fire could not be determined immediately.
According to Ians, the fire exploded at the Sounsar hotel in the Sonmarg market.
In a publication about X, Ganderbal’s deputy commissioner said that the Gund Kangan fire services staff, the army, the state’s disasters response force and local residents are helping to turn off the fire.
“5 fire vehicles on the site, the operations are in full apogee, Blaze has been controlled. Efforts are being forced to extinguish the fire,” said the official.
Prime Minister Omar Abdullah said he was in constant contact with the local administration to guarantee all possible assistance.
“Deeply saddened by the devastating incident of the fire in the Sonmarg market. My office is constantly contact with the local administration to ensure that all possible assistance reaches those in need. My thoughts and sentences are with the affected families and companies. At this difficult moment, we sympathize with you and we will do our best to support your recovery, “he wrote in X.
