Man booked for sexually assaulting minor girl in Bengaluru

The Rajajinagar police have booked a Suresh, 30, for sexually assaulting a minor girl in Majestic area on Saturday.

The victim, a 15-year-old Class 9 student, was living with her parents in KEB quarters, Rajajinagar. She had run away from home after a fight with her parents. The parents filed a missing complaint with the Rajajinagar police. The police found that a neighbour, known to the victim, had lured her in and taken her to the Majestic area.

The police tracked the girl down to Majestic and rescued her.

They booked Suresh under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Further investigations are on. Since the offence took place in Majestic, the case has been transferred to Upparpet Police station for further investigation.
