DMK names C.V.M.P. Ezhilarasan as propaganda secretary

The DMK on Wednesday (March 12, 2025) appointed C.V.M.P. Ezhilarasan as the party’s propaganda secretary.

Mr. Ezhilarasan has been relieved from his current post of students’ wing secretary, DMK general secretary Duraimurugan said in an announcement.

The announcement added that R. Rajiv Gandhi has been relieved from the post of president of the DMK students’ wing, and been appointed its secretary.

The change of guard comes ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election in 2026.

Recently, DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin justified the creation of new party district units and fresh appointments to certain posts and said this was to prepare the party for the Assembly elections.
