NEET UG 2025: The National Test Agency (NTA) has opened the application window for the undergraduate of the National Eligibility Input Test (NEET UG) 2025, as of February 7, with a deadline established for March 7 to the 11.50 pm The exam is scheduled for May 4. The NTA has published the updated information bulletin, the examination pattern and the curriculum, which can be accessed on its official website, neet.nt.nic.in.
IMPORTANT CHANGES IN NEET UG 2025
No more optional questions
Neet UG 2025 will not include optional questions in section B, which returns to the format prior to COVID. Candidates must try 180 questions-45 each in physics and chemistry, and 90 in biology.
Updated Touring Rule
The application number and age will no longer be used to solve ties. If multiple candidates obtain the same, it will determine the order of merit through the following criteria:
- More qualifications in biology
- More qualifications in chemistry
- More qualifications in Physics
- Less incorrect answers in all subjects
- Less incorrect responses in biology
- Less incorrect responses in chemistry
- Less incorrect answers in physics
If the tie persists, a random process will be used under the guidance of an independent expert committee
NEET UG 2025 exam guidelines
Choice of exam centers
Candidates must select three cities for their exam centers, restricted to their permanent or present statement.
Times of examination and input rules
The exam will take place from 2pm to 5pm. The entrance to the center will close at 1.30 pm, and candidates must inform at least three hours before the exam begins.
Photo load rules
Applications must load a recent photo of the size of a passport taken after January 1, 2025, along with its signature, fingerprints and relevant certificates (citizenship, social category, class 10 qualification sheets, PWBD/PWD certificate ).
NEET UG Rate for Admissions
The 2025 NEET UG scores will be used for admissions in MBBS, BDS, BVSC & AH, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS and BHMS programs. In addition, the applicants of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) requesting the BSC Nursing Program in the Hospitals of the Medical Service of the Armed Forces must qualify NET UG for the list.
