The senior officials of the Chennai division in Southern Railway delivered an ex gratia compensation of ₹ 50,000 to an injured passenger, that a man in motion in motion in an attempt to assist her sexually. The officials met with the survivor, who has four months pregnant, in a government hospital in Velore on Saturday (February 8, 2025).
According to a press release, Tanop Singh, additional divisional rail manager, delivered the survivor compensation in the presence of M. Bharat Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, and Svo Chandrakumar, medical superintendent Chief of the Chennai Division, Southern Railway. The team also assured all possible assistance to women and her family, according to the statement.
The 36 -year -old pregnant woman was expelled from a moving train near Katpadi in the Vellore district on Thursday when she resisted another passenger attempt to sexually assault her. The railroad police (GRP), Jolarpet, in relation to the incident, arrested a 31 -year -old history strainer on Friday (February 7, 2025).
