A three -year -old boy from Rajasthan died after falling into a garbage well in a cafeteria near the domestic terminal of Cochin airport on Friday.
The boy, identified as Rithan Jaju, son of Soubh, was playing in the garden on the outskirts of Anna Cafe, near the airport, when he fell in the four -foot deep well that had been left open for cleaning work.
Rithan’s family, part of a group that had come on tour, stopped in the cafeteria for lunch.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 12:50 pm while they had dinner inside.
After Rithan was not seen anywhere, his parents looked for the area and then informed the limited authorities of the Cochin International Airport (Cial) after not being able to locate it.
