The union said that first -year students were being finished after a few months of being incorporated into the company.

The finished first year students are being made to sign confidentiality agreements, Nites said and points out that it may be an attempt to suppress the details of the layoffs.

“In a shocking and unusual movement, Infosys has begun to say goodbye to 700 recruits of the campus that were on board just a few months ago,” said Harpreet Singh Saluja, president of the Nites, in a statement.

Nites claimed that the company also deployed “gorillas and security personnel” during the termination process to intimidate employees.

This was done to ensure that employees do not “carry mobile phones and have no way to document the incident or seek help,” said Saluja.

The union has expressed concern about the abrupt nature of these endings and the impact on affected employees.

However, Infosys defended himself, stating that the finished first year students could not eliminate multiple internal tests that are part of the incorporation process.

“All first -year students obtain three attempts to eliminate the evaluation, failing that they will not be able to continue with the organization, as is also mentioned in their contract. This process has existed for more than two decades,” said the older one in you in A statement.

The company argued that these measures are necessary to ensure that only those that meet the required standards are preserved.

Meanwhile, Nites said he is presenting an official complaint before the Ministry of Labor and Employment, demanding an immediate intervention and strict action against Infosys.

“This flagrant corporate exploitation cannot be allowed to continue, and we urge the Government to take quick measures to defend the rights and dignity of Indian IT workers,” Saluja said.
