The City Police have asked Kempegowda International Airile (KIA) travelers to use alternative roads for the airport and vice versa, and do not use Ballari Road from February 10 to 14, since the road will probably drown with the due traffic to the India 2025 Air Show, organized during these days at the base of the Yelahaka Air Force.
Those who come from Mysuru Road and the northern side of Bengaluru have been requested to go to Bel Circle, head towards Mrs. Palya, Munikrishna Junction, reach Rajanakunte and join MVT Cross in Ballari Road and then address the airport. Those who come from eastern Bengaluru have been requested to pass through KR Puram, Hennur Cross, Kothanur, Bagalur and reach the southwest door of the airport through Begur.
Private buses, prohibited merchandise vehicles
Police have banned private buses and all merchandise vehicles between Mehkri Circle and MVT Cross in Ballari Road for five days. Bagalur Main Road, Reva College Road, Nitte Meenakshi College Road has been declared unidirectional during that period.
The city police commissioner B. Dayananda said they had appealed to the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) to display more buses on the route during these days. The Air Force has also hired more than 500 buses, he said. For those who wish to visit the air show during the last two days, when the public is allowed, the commissioner requested that they scan the QR code in their passes at the entrance door.
Mr. Dayananda said that those who come in private vehicles will have to park them in the Gandhi Krishi Vidya Kendra (GKVK). The BMTC has announced a transport service between GKVK and the Display Air (oats) display area during the five -day event.
Free BMTC service from selection points
The BMTC has announced that it will also execute buses from several collection points: Hebbal, Kempegowda Bus Station, Shivajinagar, Banashankari Bda Complex, Koramangala, Vijayanagar TTMC, Kengeri, Orion Mall Rajajagar, Infosys Campus, Electronics City and ITPL transport those who have already bought tickets and pass from the Aero Show.
In a statement, BMTC said these buses have been hired by Aero India 2025 to provide free service to viewers. “Attendees have to opt for a boarding point while reserving the Show Aero ticket and buses will transport the ticket holders at no cost to the place,” BMTC said.
