In the absence of the star hitter Virat Kohli, the Vice-Capitán Shubman Gill took India to Victoria de Cuatto Wickt about England in the 1st Odi in Nagpur on Thursday. Persuring only 249 for the victory, Gill led the pack with 83 of 96 compound balls as India reached his goal with 11.2 overs to spare. I put 94 and 108 races with Shreyas Iyer (59) and Axar Patel (52) after the Rohit Sharma and Yashavi Jaiswal openers fell under low price.
Gill has received praise from all corners for his blow, including the former batter of India Sureesh Raina, who made fun of the young man with a consultation related to the “Valentine’s Day.”
“The Valentine’s Day of Maine Kaha until the 14th Ko Hai, Tune Aaj Fir Dil Jeet Liya (Valentine’s Day is February 14, but you already won hearts today),” Raina asked in the air.
Gill, who blushed on live television, replied, saying: “Thank you.”

Gill was denied his century by the pacemaker of England Saqib Mahmood, who caught him in half, after an attraction stained. Mahmood and Spinner Adil Rashid took two Wickts each to give England some late positives in a comfortable persecution.
“Pretty happy because we knew we were going after a long time to this format. We wanted to regroup ourselves quickly and understand what should be done,” Rohit said after the game.
“Nothing specific, in general, as a team, I want to make sure we continue doing the right things. Try to mark each boxes there must be marked in bowling and batting,” he added.
When reflecting on the defeat, the captain of England, Jos Buttler, said: “I think Salt and Duckett came out and played brilliantly in that game quickly, which delayed us.”
“We were probably another 40 or 50 races (short) in that total, with the way the wickt was turning at the end, we would have been in a good position to try to win the game,” he added.
The second hate will be played in Cuttack on Sunday, and Kohli will probably return after getting lost in Jaipur due to a painful knee.
India and England are warming up for the next Champions Trophy, scheduled to play from February 19 in Pakistan and the EAU (only Indian games).
