Little has been well when it comes to smartphones, so, naturally, I wanted to try a new segment. Enter the little 5G pad. It is the first tablet of the Chinese brand, and first view, it seems to be a good business. It offers a large 12.1 -inch LCD screen, a 10,000 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SOC. The tablet also offers cellular connectivity and a premium design. However, it is very similar to the Redmi Pad Pro 5G. And when you look at the specifications, it is difficult to ignore the fact that the pad and the Redmi tablet are practically the same tablet.
Little has set the 5g pad to RS. 23,999 for the base option, which is RS. 1,000 lower than the Redmi Pad Pro 5g. Is this a better purchase than the Redmi tablet? Keep reading to find out.
Little Pad 5G Design: It looks good, but a digital footprint magnet
- Dimensions – 280 mm x 181.85 mm x 7.52 mm
- Weight – 568g
- Colors: cobalt blue and green pistachio
The little PAD 5G has a totally metallic unibody construction that feels lasting and premium. It has a matt finish panel with a two -tone design, which loves digital footprints. You may want to wear a microfiber fabric with you everywhere. The rear panel has little brand and two circular modules that house a camera and a LED flash. The tablet, although large, is portable thanks to its thin weight and profile. It has rounded corners, flat sides and conical edges in the front glass.
The right framework of the tablet houses two microphones, the SIM card tray (admits SIM of 5G dual or a SIM and a microSD card), and the volume balancing key. It obtains dual speakers on the upper edge along with the feed/awakening button, and the lower part of two speakers, a USB type C port and a 3.5 mm headphone connector. The left frame is naked. In general, it is a well -built tablet.
Little Pad 5G Screen and Sound: Ideal to see content
- Size – LCD resolution 2.5K of 12.1 inches
- Update speed – 120Hz
- Audio – Quadruple stereo speakers
Turning the tablet reveals the large 12.1 -inch LCD screen surrounded by uniform and quite thick bezels. The panel is protected by Glailla Glass 3 of Corning and offers an appearance ratio of 16:10 with a resolution of 2.5k (2560 x 1600 pixels). It also admits an adaptive update speed up to 120 Hz and allows you to choose between 60, 90 or 120Hz. There are three color profiles available on board, including vivid, saturated and standard. It is better to leave it in Vivid, since you get good colors with decent blacks.
The screen admits Dolby Vision and offers a maximum brightness of up to 600 nits. However, using it outdoors is not fun since the screen does not become bright enough. Interiors, the panel becomes a lot bright.
Upon reaching the sound, the little pad has a quadruple configuration with support for Dolby Atmos. You also get high -resolution audio support through the 3.5 mm headphone connector. The audio is quite good on the tablet, and there is a good stereo separation. It becomes noisy, but there are not enough serious in the maximum volume. Listening to music is not a great experience, but watching movies and programs is.
Little Pad 5G Software: Not much swelling
- OS – Android 14
- Skin – hyperos
Little Hyperos has included in the tablet, and is based on Android 14. There are also very little preinstalled Bloratware or applications, which is good. Obtain a canvas application that can be used to draw with the pen. However, I did not receive the pen or tablet, so I cannot comment on its performance and use.
In addition to the my canvas application, it also obtains several characteristics of hyperos, such as homescreen+, shared clipboard and the application of cross -service notes with the application of the camera, which allows you to take a photo on a connected phone and insert the image directly Notes application. The HomeCrreen+ function allows you to connect a phone with an Xiaomi account to receive smartphone notifications on the tablet. Meanwhile, the shared clipboard allows you to easily copy and paste images and text between devices. Multitasa is also available on the tablet, obviously, and works as expected. It can have up to two applications that run simultaneously on the screen, but you can also add two floating applications, taking the total to four.
Little has promised two years of Android OS updates and three years of security patches on the tablet, which is good.
Little Pad 5G Performance: It could have been better
- Chipset – Snapdragon 7s Gen 2
- RAM – 8GB (LPDDR4X)
- Storage: up to 256 GB (UFS 2.2) incorporated, expandable
Little has equipped its first tablet with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SOC, which works well. The experience of the user interface is mainly soft when navigating, but I noticed the multitasking delay, moving through the configuration application and the launch of certain applications such as the camera.
I executed some synthetic reference points on the pad little to have an idea of its performance compared to the Redmi Pad Pro.

As you can see, the pad was little done in a similar way to the Redmi Pad Pro, which should not be surprising, since both are essentially the same tablet.
Usually, I did not face heating problems when using the tablet, and even when I played games like BGMI, the tablet only heats up a bit around the camera. BGMI could play in the ultra -Almost Graphics configuration, and worked without problems without any delay. However, playing the game on a large tablet like the little pad is not super comfortable.
Since the tablet also admits 5G connectivity, I tried 5G speeds using Speedtest, and the pads little delivered discharge speeds of about 474 Mbps and 63 Mbps loads. The video calls worked well in the 5G Auretel network.
Little pad 5g cameras: decent
- Rear – 8 megapixels with LED flash
- Front – 8 megapixels
The only camera that should import on a tablet is the front, and the 8 megapixel sensor in the pad is not so good.
It works well in the conditions of daylight, and can make video calls, but I would not recommend using the tablet to take selfies since the photos lack details. It is the same with the rear camera, where the photos can be used in the conditions of daylight, but there is a lot of noise and loss of details when there is not enough light.
Little Pad 5G Battery: enough to dock a limited series in Netflix
- Capacity – 10,000m
- Fast charge – 33W
The battery life on the little pad was little was a mixed experience for me. I expected the 10,000 mAh battery to last as long as the REDMI PAD PRO in our HD video loop. However, the little tablet only lasted approximately 11 hours and 50 minutes, while the Redmi Pad Pro survived for 28 hours and 30 minutes.
The result was also surprising because with the regular use that involved several hours of YouTube transmission, half an hour of games, observing Netflix and navigating the web, the tablet spent about two days without the need for charges.
Speaking of load, the little PAD admits a quick 33W charge and the charger is provided in the box. Using the adapter, approximately 2 hours are needed to completely load the mass cell of 10,000 mAh.
Little Pad 5G verdict
Very good, then should you buy the little PAD 5G tablet? Well, in summary, yes, because it is a pretty good middle range tablet. It has a good high resolution screen with good inner brightness, it is well built, the performance is not bad, the battery life is quite good and you can even play games on the tablet if you want it. It offers good value for money.
One of its main competitors is the Redmi Pad Pro 5G (review), but it has a slightly higher price without offering anything different. The pad is little a better deal here. Then it has the Xiaomi Pad 6 (review), which is cheaper and offers better performance and cameras, but it has a smaller screen and battery.
