According to the reports, a Bering Air flight, which transported 10 people on board, disappeared from the radar near Nome, Alaska on Friday, Bno News reported.
The report also shared a statement from the soldiers of the state of Alaska, confirming that the missing plane was a commercial flight operated by Bering Air.
“On February 6, 2025, at 4.00 PM, AKRCC contacted AST in reference to an expired plane. It was reported that a Bering Air caravan had disappeared while on a route from Unalakteet to Nome, with 9 passengers and 1 pilot on board. SAR teams are working to reach the last known coordinates. Updates to follow, “said the statement.
A search is being carried out to locate the possible remains of the plane, said another media report.
“At this time, air support is not available due to weather and icing, so we are making a terrestrial effort at this time,” said Alaska Public Media News cited Danielle Sem, a spokeswoman for Kawerak without a non -profit tribal .
