IIT BHU achieves a higher placement record with RS 2.2 crore

IIT BHU has achieved the highest CTC package of RS 2.2 million rupees per year in the recent placement session held at the Institute. The average package received by the students is RS 22,79,680.91 per year. The Institute assured a total of 1,128 placement offers and 424 internship offers as of January 31, 2025.

The locations have been carried out in various industries such as technology, consulting, finance and central engineering sectors. The main recruiters in the recent session include Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, Amazon, Data Brics, ITC, Amazon, Samsung, Oracle, Walmart and Qualcomm, among others.

The placement campaign is currently in progress since many students have not yet been placed.

Sharing ideas about the locations, Professor Amit Patra, director of IIT (BHU), said: “The results of the placement this year reinforce the position of IIT (BHU) as professionals ready to produce the institute industry. The commitment to the Academic and research excellence continues to attract first level recruiters.

The Institute completed its 100 years in 2019. According to the official website, the Varanasi of the Indian Institute of Technology (Hindu Banras University) owes its existence to Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, founder of the First Residential University of Modern India. The engineering education in BHU began in 1919 with the establishment of Banaras Engineering College (Benco). In 1968, the former engineering universities of Bu, namely Benco, Minmet and Techno, merged to form the Institute of Technology (IT-good). IT-thu became IIT (BHU) Varanasi on June 29, 2012 by a law of Parliament.
