Trump signed an order in which it was alleged that the ICC “abused his power” when issuing an arrest warrant against Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, signed on Thursday an executive order that sanctioned the International Criminal Court (ICC) for carrying out investigations “without foundation” against the country and its close ally Israel, said the White House.
In the order signed by Trump, it was alleged that the ICC “abused his power” when he issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu had held a meeting with the president of the United States on Tuesday.
The order said that the Court in Hague had been involved in “illegitimate and unfounded actions aimed at the United States and our close ally Israel”, since it referred to the investigations of the ICC in the alleged war crimes committed by the Israeli troops in Gaza and the members of the United States service in Afghanistan in Afghanistan. .
