The president of the United States, Donald Trump, revealed Thursday that he is forming a new working group to investigate and address what he described as “anti -Christian prejudice” within government agencies in the United States. The announcement occurred during his participation in the National Prayer Breakfast, a long tradition of Washington, where he also promised to protect religious freedom in the country.
The working group proposed by Trump, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, has the task of stopping any perceived discrimination or orientation of Christians within the federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, the IRS and the FBI. In addition, the task force will focus on prosecuting anti -Christian violence and vandalism while defending the rights of Christians throughout the country.
The former president also signed an executive order that instructed the working group to identify and address illegal practices in all executive departments, which could recommend legislative changes to safeguard religious freedom.
Trump’s comments were produced in the midst of a broader impulse for the religious unity and rebirth. He urged Americans to “bring God back” to their lives, claiming that their faith had strengthened after an attempt to analyze almost 2024.
