Tamil Nadu’s government said Thursday that he was taking measures to bring the mortal remains of a man from the State, who was killed during a shooting in Jamaica last December.

An official statement said the state government would carry expenses.

Vignesh, originally from the Tirunelveli district, was used in a supermarket in the Turkish and Caicos Islands in Jamaica. He died during a shooting by the thieves on December 18, 2024.

At the request of the members of his family, the Rehabilitation Commissioner and the well -being of the non -resident tamiles had been coordinating with the Indian diplomatic mission in Jamaica and his company of employers to take their remains to India.

The state government was also coordinating with the company of employers to obtain compensation.

The deceased’s autopsy was performed on December 30.
